Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D! Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers! Be sure to check out the full changelog and blog post below.Įvery Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. We’ll be using the new features on future projects and share our experiences in the coming weeks. There’s also support for more printers, optimized movement planner and improved USB connectivity. If you have a Dremel Idea Builder, please take a look at our complete Hardware Setup Guide to learn how to configure the software and explore the new features. Support has been added for the highly popular Dremel Idea Builder, the same machine that is available from Home Depot and Amazon. Our latest software update adds compatibility for several new printers and introduces new features to help our users achieve the highest quality prints.

This is an interesting approach because it saves a designer time from having to modify parts and makes prototyping tolerances easier. For example, you can make a part tight fit, normal fit or loose fit.

There’s a new setting for adjusting tolerances by changing the horizontal size compensation. The new update to the ever popular slicer Simplif圓D, was released earlier this week and features new improvements to the quality and accuracy of parts.
